Sewing & Quilting Classes, Workshops & Summer Camps in Wickford, RI
The-sew-op offers sewing & quilting classes, workshops and summer camps in the village of Wickford, North Kingstown, RI. As our classes are small it is best to subscribe to our newsletter, to be the first to know when we post classes. All materials are included in most of our classes so that all you need to do is show up! Students can easily walk to our studio from the Wickford Middle School and NK High School. During the school year we offer 5, six week sessions meeting once per week, for two hours.

We offer two levels of classes for kids age 9-11
Kid Beginner - This class is for the novice. No need to have any experience. We will teach you how to use the sewing machine and even how to sew in a zipper. We make at least 3 easy, useful projects for you to take home. All materials are included in the class. $175
Kid Sew - In this class we begin to make more difficult projects using patterns. Students work at their own pace allowing them to stay in this class throughout the school year. All materials are included in this class. $175
We offer two levels of classes for Teens ages 12-17
Teen Beginner - This class is for the novice. No need to have any experience. We will teach you how to use the sewing machine and even how to sew in a zipper. We make at least 3 easy, useful projects for you to take home. All materials are included in the class. $175
Teen Sew - In this class we begin to make more difficult projects using patterns. Students work at their own pace allowing them to stay in this class throughout the school year. All materials are included in this class. $175
We offer three levels of classes for students age 18+
Adult Beginner - This class is for the novice. No need to have any experience. We will teach you how to use the sewing machine and even how to sew in a zipper. We make at least 3 easy, useful projects for you to take home. All materials are included in the class. $175
Adult Sew - In this class we begin to make more difficult projects With an emphasis on reading commercial patterns. Students work at their own pace, creating garments. All materials are included in this class. $175
Guided Sew - Once you have completed Adult Beginner and Adult Sew, you are ready to choose your own projects. This class is three hours long and does not include materials. This class can be reserved by the session of 6 weeks or by a drop-in basis per class. $180
SUMMER CAMPS
During the summer we offer week long summer camps. They begin the Monday after July 4th and run through August. Classes alternate every other week.
Monday - Friday, 10 am - 12 pm (ages 9 - 11)

Monday - Friday, 12 - 2pm

Teen / Adult Sew - If you have completed our Adult Beginner class then this is the class for you! In this class we begin to make more difficult projects with an emphasis on reading commercial patterns. Students work at their own pace. All materials are included in this class. $175
