Happy August!
We are half way through our Summer Camps and still look forward to enjoying another month of summer! We moved to our new, beautiful location last September so we are coming up on a year in our new shop. If you haven’t visited, please stop by. It is bright and roomy, which means we were able to purchase more fabric! Some of our favorite brands are RJR, Cotton & Steel, Rifle Paper, Kaffe Fassett, Tula Pink, Anna Maria, Tilda, Northcott, Moda, Dear Stella, QT Fabrics, Island Batik, M & S Textiles, AGF, Stof, Ruby Star, Elite, Robert Kaufman…
Our studio space is also larger and a pleasure to be able to work in. We are keeping our class size small, (4-6 students) so classes sell out fast. As most of you know, we offer 2 Fall sessions (Sept/Oct), (Nov/Dec), 1 Winter session (Jan/Feb), 2 Spring sessions (March/April) (May/June) and Summer Camps (July/Aug). Many of our Fall 1 classes are posted, as well as lots of workshops! We will continue to add classes so we’ll keep you posted as we add them to our schedule.
We have added many talented teachers over the past year. Jane and Barbara both come to us from the Master Seamstress program. Jane will be teaching Guided Sew, Private Lessons and Tuesday Tips. Barbara will be adding an Upcycled Denim class, Kid Beginner during the week and Guided Sew on Saturday morning! Susan will be teaching Adult Beginners and Teen Beginners as well as coordinating our Sewing for a Cause volunteers on Wednesday morning. Kate will continue to offer our Adult Beginner and Adult Sew in the evening. We welcome Liz back to our studio and she will be teaching Adult Beginners in the evening as well.
Donna has officially retired and has added a lot of new workshops! She will continue to teach the Beginner Quilting Series and has also added a Block of the Month Club, Venice Placemat, 3 yard Quilt and Christmas Tree Skirt. Leslie will be running Improv Quilt Sessions the first Sunday of Oct, Nov, Dec. Pat will be teaching EQ8 on the 3rd Sunday of the month, Sept. – Dec. Tina will be teaching Machine Quilting 101 in October. Please reach out if there are any other classes you’d like to see us offer.
Meg has added several Friday afternoon workshops such as the Cork Wristlet, Pet Placemat and Burlap Market Bag. When she is not teaching Meg runs the shop and is always available to help. Mary has taken the summer off and Rebecca is in the shop 3 days a week. Mary will rejoin us during the week in September when Rebecca goes back to school and works on the weekend.
I am thankful and blessed by all of these talented women. Enjoy the rest of summer and we hope to see you soon!

My sister and I would like to learn how to quilt. We both have basic sewing skills but have never explored quilting. Do you have classes or private sessions that would fit our needs? What is the cost for classes or private sessions? Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you!
